Step 2: Benefits Check

What is ABA?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the science of learning and behavior. It uses evidence-based strategies to increase helpful skills and decrease behaviors that interfere with growth, helping children learn, adapt, and thrive in everyday life.

  • Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a therapy that uses various techniques to increase behaviors and make learning enjoyable while reducing behaviors that can cause harm or interfere with development. ABA is clinically focused and is used to promote skills, such as functional communication and following instructions to more complex areas like engaging in social activities and conversing.

  • NO! ABA can be effective for almost everyone. Since we work on a variety of skills including social skills and behavior management your child does not need a diagnosis of Autism to receive services. Unfortunately though, insurances may not cover ABA services if there is not an autism diagnosis.

  • We are currently credentialed with the following insurance companies to provide ABA services:

    • Maryland Medicaid

    • TriCare

    • Aetna
